Flippa Dippa by Nate Bellegarde
One of my most treasured possessions. Every quality household should be required to have this on the premises.
I got this after not seeing the show in a long time, experienced the joys of reliving it all again, while at the same time the joy of making my little brothers who were 9 and 12 sit with me and watch them all. I was so pleased that the show still holds up 100% to any generation, they had their effing minds blown. There has not been an animated series of this caliber for decades before or since then.
Of course after that we were all hungry for more, so naturally we moved onto watching the whole Superman Animated Series, which had their minds blown by the coolness on a different but perhaps equal level. I feel like in most discussions of BTAS gushing over its unprecedented quality, Superman is greatly overlooked.
I also realized:
Batman TAS = 40’s/50’s film noir.
Superman TAS = 60’s/70’s monster flicks.
Justice League = 80’s/90’s Hollywood blockbusters?
