Studio Ghibli is the new Star Wars in terms of being the biggest target of true geek nerd gamer culture to crossover and mashup with every other franchise in existence no matter how meaningless and unwarranted.
Can mainstream games please start dabbling in asynchronous multiplayer? The 3DS is pretty much built for it, like with the method it uses to queue up swapnotes to be sent and received whether or not there’s an available internet connection at the time.
Imagine online Fire Emblem battles that you carry on with several friends at a time, taking place over several hours or days or weeks, each of you inputting your teams moves at your leisure and getting notifications when your opponent has made theirs.
