Well, not all of us. Just those of us that play Pokemon Black and/or White, and happen to own a Yamask. What do I mean? Take a look at this Pokedex entry I found after just capturing one:

“These Pokemon arose from the spirits of people interred in graves in past ages. Each retains memories of its former life. Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry.”

What. The. Unholy. Fuck?

First, Yamask isn’t even a Pokemon. It’s a human soul.

Second, they retain the memories of their lives. “I used to have a wife. Kids. I spend a lot of time thinking about them, wondering if they miss me. But sure, kid, I’ll go punch that lightning squirrel for you. Not like I got much of a choice.” This is, if not Limbo, arguably Hell.

Third, each of them carries a mask that used to be its face, and sometimes they look at it and cry. That. Is. Fucked.

Yamask, cries from the sheer agonizing horror of what it has become and what it is being subjected to while looking at the face it once wore as a living person before it was reduced to its current state, just breaking down under the sheer weight, pain, and indignity of all.

I promptly released my Yamask. May your restless soul find peace.

This one really needs a background but I’m all out of ideas and too tired to come up with anything groundbreaking. Having finally managed to paint something that isn’t… utter shit, I’d hate to leave it unfinished :,D

I’d just be happy with a Moogle in SSB4 to represent the whole FF series.
